How to join the Legacy Chorale
The Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota holds open auditions for
persons interested in becoming a chorale member. Sarah
Aamot-Lundin listens for the following musical skills during
auditions: intonation, tone quality (choral sound vs. solo),
ability to control vibrato, vocal flexibility, and expressiveness.
A prepared piece is not necessary.
Upon acceptance into the Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota,
singers will be given season schedules, program information and
membership guidelines, and will be required to sign a
"Statement of Understanding" contract, pay an annual
$50.00 membership fee, and pay for the cost of their own concert
attire and transportation to rehearsals and concerts. Rehearsals
will be held every Tuesday night from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m., beginning [tba],
at Forestview Middle School in Baxter, MN. The first concerts
of the upcoming season are scheduled for [tba].
Currently there are
65 singers in the Legacy Chorale representing 13 greater Minnesota
communities: Aitkin, Baxter, Brainerd, Breezy Point,
Crosslake, Deerwood, East Gull Lake, Hackensack, Lakeshore, Little
Falls, Merrifield, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes. |
